StoreLens: Storefront & Catalog Analyzer
Any public Shopify storefront, fully mapped in ten seconds.
Open a store, press Run Analysis, and StoreLens reads the public data that storefront already serves to any visitor: the full product catalogue, the theme, the apps running on the page, and the store's own best-seller ordering. You get a structured report instead of clicking through a hundred product pages.
Not on the Chrome Web Store yet. The listing goes live the day it is approved, and this page updates with it.
Who it is for
Anyone sizing up a Shopify store: operators comparing catalogues, agencies scoping work, suppliers checking assortment and price bands.
What you get
- Every published product, up to 5,000, with price, compare-at price, discount percentage, variant count, image count, vendor, tags, stock state and publish date
- Best-seller rank taken from the store's own best-selling ordering, not estimated or modelled
- Publish velocity: how many products launched in the last 7 and 30 days, plus catalogue age
- Price floor, ceiling and median across the catalogue, with discount rate and out-of-stock rate
- Theme name, plus the apps fingerprinted from the storefront's own homepage markup
- CSV export of the full report
How it works
- Open any public Shopify storefront and click the StoreLens icon.
- Press Run Analysis. Chrome asks you to approve access to that one domain.
- StoreLens requests the store's homepage, its public product feed and its best-selling collection page.
- Read the report in the panel, filter it, or export the rows to CSV.
What it does not do
It reads public storefront pages only, with your cookies deliberately excluded from every request. It does not log in, it never touches a store admin, it does not place orders, and it cannot see anything a normal visitor cannot see. If a store has switched its public product feed off, StoreLens says so rather than working around it.
Permissions
Every permission the extension asks for, and the reason for it. Nothing else is requested.
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
storage | Holds your licence key and a daily counter of how many analyses you have run, so paid features stay available between sessions and the free tier limit can be enforced. Stored on your machine only. |
sidePanel | Renders the interface in Chrome's side panel. This is the only screen StoreLens has. |
tabs | Reads the URL of the tab you are currently viewing, so the panel can show which storefront it would analyze and update that display when you switch or navigate tabs. Tab contents are never read, and no URL is ever sent anywhere. |
https://api.gumroad.com/* | Verifies a paid licence key against Gumroad. Only the key is sent. This request is never made on the free tier. |
https://*/* (optional) | Declared as optional, never required. StoreLens asks for access to exactly one domain at the moment you press Run Analysis, and only the domain you are already on. Nothing is requested at install time, and you can revoke any granted domain at chrome://extensions. |
Pricing
Billed through Gumroad. Cancel whenever you want.
